Kingfishing with Peter Connolly

Good mate Peter Connolly shows us how targeting kingfish can be so much fun and rewarding at the same time. An avid believer in tag and releasing his fish Peter was the first person in the Nelson fishery area to have a tagged fish recaptured. Peter caught a 100cm kingfish in French Pass on the 11th June 2011 and it was recently recaptured off the Otago Peninsula. It is the southern most tagged kingfish ever to be caught.
It had traveled 366 nautical miles in 244 days and grown 7cm
