This week sees Matt targeting a couple of NZ’s most underutilized fish species; the skipjack and albacore tuna. Whilst attempting to demonstrate the versatility of these under-appreciated fish, the team are pestered by packs of pesky marlin, and come across some gigantic schools of balling baitfish which have to be seen to be believed.

EXTREME Shark Fishing on Crowded Beach


Beach Shark Fishing. Hybrid Shark Caught. Breaking News, Epic conditions as you can see in the video and Payam caught a very nice Blacktip stark. The shark broke the line as soon as it hit the sand. You can see in the video that the shark is wrapped in some blue rope. I wish we could have gotten a better release and got that rope off the shark. Otherwise an epic mullet run day. Congrats on Payam for running that dog. Happy Bait.

Sami Lands a Bluefin Tuna Using 2013 Stella

In March of 2013, Sami fished for bluefin tuna in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. For this trip, Igor, Dima, Oleg & Dima joined Sami to fish on the Tuna Duck, captained by Dan Rooks.

In this video Sami lands a 69 inch bluefin tuna using Saltywater Tackle Race Point 300 and the brand new 2013 Shimano Stella 18000SWBHG. The fight time was about 20 minutes. The fish took a Moutoukenmaru lure.


Light Jigging in KK

Team Shimano went fishing in Kota Kinabalu with our latest Jigwrex LJ rods with semilong stinger butterfly jigs. KK did not disappoint as we scored groupers galore!
