Cyril has always heard that the waters of the Atlantic ocean in Guiana, South America hold an incredible variety of big fish… But what Cyril really has come to South America for is a true special evil looking fish that looks like it directly arrived from another planet: the giant traira.
Cyril starts his journey with a day of salt water fishing with Pascal and a group of his friends. They fish a pinnacle that holds some beautiful dodgy cubera snappers and reel screaming kingfish.
Then Cyril meets with Francis and Thia, two locals who have a passion for the giant traira. Together with Cyril, they will go on an expedition up the Sinamary river on a motored canoe to fish this monster-like predator in the tiny pools of some rapids… Wading through the fast jungle waters, Cyril will soon know why this bruiser is renowned for its spectacular fights… Action guaranteed…

January 2012: YFTV ventures east to the rugged Victorian coast (Australia) to explore the Bass Strait for new kingfish opportunites. What they find is is truly remarkable, an untapped world class topwater gold mine. The day starts off with a humble 7kg kingfish on a stick bait, a feat in its own right (in local terms) but mayhem soon follows as stickbait after stickbait is monstered by massive schools of rampant surface feeding kings. The surface strikes are just crazy, like hand grenades exploding, and the action lasts for 8 hours straight. Featuring Winga, Matt Stewart, Dave Standing and Kevin Buhagiar. This is episode 1 of a 2 part special. Rods are TEREZ 80lb outfits armed with Stella 10,000SW reels and 65lb Power Pro Braid. Stickbaits are Moutoukenmaru and Shimano Ocea Pencil and various others. Dont miss part 1!
