Trolling Halco Laser Pros 190 on the Great Barrier reef You gotta love Halco Laser Pro’s 190 lures, one of my favourites and a must have in your tackle box. In this fishing video we’re out trolling the reef edge and points. We scored a couple of nice fish, one Spanish Mackerel and one Shark mackerel in a matter of mnutes. So they do work and a great fish catcher. Great lure and more info below,
They’re a great lure incorporating strength, durability and one of the best fish catching ability. The outer body has extra secure hook anchoring and towing points that are built in as an integral part of the lure body. Halco’s Bullet proof bib securing system provides added strength and ensures faultless swiming performance trolling at high and low speeds between two and eight knots.

The halco lures are are now widely recognised as one of the world’s best bluewater trolling lures, this 47 gram lure can be trolled over a wide speed band, however its optimum speed for trolling for pelagics I like to tow is around 4 to 6 knots. Troll lures at a distances ranging from 10 to 50 metres from the boat. I like to run the crazy deep in close under the propwash, back about 30 feet. This also enables you to Troll more than one lure preferably three or four imitating a school of bait fish. Check out our other trolling videos with more info on this to maximise your success. More lures, more chances.

Remember, always troll your lures at different distances and angles from the boat. Not only does this cover more area, with the crazy deep lure in close it helps avoids tangles when turning the boat.
